Vintage Yet Modern
My favorite kind of weekend is perusing a vintage market of some kind - New York City is filled with antiques on every corner - the treasure hunting is endless! I love to mix and match time periods, textures, materials, accessories, you name it.
The juxtaposition of pairing a piece from the past with a piece from the present is always essential. For me, a space will never feel complete without a look back in time.
Materials Matter
Finding that initial color palette, fabric and materials is key to kick starting an overall design plan. I pull a great deal of inspiration from nature and my surroundings, (there isn’t a week that goes by without a trip to the Flower District here in NYC), though I also love bringing a space to life with sultry velvets, mod angles and fun geometric elements. The mix is fundamental in curating a plan that comes together seamlessly!
